The Ninebot S is still in GoKart Mode and must be turned off via the Segway-Ninebot app.

Why Does the GoKart Kit Suddenly Fail to Respond?

There are several reasons why your GoKart Kit might suddenly fail to respond:

  • Status Light Flashes Blue: If you see the status light flashing blue, remove the 6 AA batteries from the GoKart Kit and reinstall them. This issue is often caused by the cabin control board being stuck in an infinite loop.
  • Low Battery: If the 6 AA batteries are too low, replace all of them. Make sure not to mix old and new batteries to prevent damaging the GoKart Kit.

Why Does the Actual Speed Differ from the Speed Displayed in the App?

There are several reasons for this:

  • Please check if there are any objects stuck or blocking the front and rear wheels.
  • Check if the front plastic protection has fallen off thus interfering with the front wheels.
  • The hill you are trying to climb is too steep.
  • The Ninebot S battery is too low.

Why Does My Ninebot GoKart Keep Beeping?

The beeping on your Ninebot GoKart could be caused by several issues. Here are some common reasons:

  • Low Battery: If the battery level is low, the GoKart will beep to alert you to charge it.
  • Error Codes: The GoKart might be beeping to indicate an error. Check the app or user manual for specific error codes.
  • Overheating: If the motor or battery is overheating, the GoKart may beep as a warning.
  • Speed Mode: Switching between different speed modes can sometimes trigger a beep.

What Happens if the GoKart Kit Overheats?

If your Segway-Ninebot app displays an “Overheat Protection” warning and the temperature exceeds 140°F (60°C), please follow these steps:

  1. Stop Using the GoKart Kit Immediately: Cease all operations to prevent further overheating.
  2. Cool Down the GoKart Kit: Place the GoKart Kit in a cool, well-ventilated area to allow it to cool down naturally.
  3. Wait for Normal Operating Temperature: You can resume using the GoKart Kit once the temperature drops to around 113°F (45°C).

Why Does My Ninebot GoKart Keep Cutting Out?

If your Ninebot GoKart keeps cutting out, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  • Battery Issues: A faulty or low battery can cause the GoKart to cut out unexpectedly. Try charging the battery fully or replacing it if necessary.
  • Loose Connections: Check all cables and connections to ensure they are secure. Loose connections can lead to power interruptions.
  • Overheating: Overheating of the motor or battery can cause the GoKart to shut down to prevent damage. Allow it to cool down before using it again.
  • Software Glitches: Update the firmware using the Segway-Ninebot app to resolve any software-related issues.

Why Does the Actual Speed Differ from the Speed Displayed in the App?

The actual speed of your GoKart might differ from the speed displayed in the app for several reasons:

  • GPS Accuracy: The app relies on GPS data, which can sometimes be inaccurate due to signal interference or poor reception.
  • Sensor Calibration: The sensors in the GoKart might need re calibration. Over time, they can drift and provide less accurate readings.
  • Software Updates: Ensure that both your GoKart and the app are running the latest software versions. Updates often include fixes for such discrepancies.
  • Battery Levels: Low battery levels can affect the performance of the GoKart, including speed readings.

What is Ninebot GoKart Battery Life?

The battery life of a Ninebot GoKart, including models like the Ninebot GoKart Pro and Pro 2, depends on several factors such as usage, terrain, driving speed, and the weight of the rider.

  • Range per Charge: On average, the Ninebot GoKart Pro and Pro 2 can travel approximately 15.5 to 18.6 miles (25 to 30 kilometers) on a full charge. This range can vary based on driving conditions and other factors.
  • Battery Capacity: These go-karts are typically equipped with a lithium-ion battery pack, which usually has a capacity of around 432 WH (watt-hours). This capacity supports the range mentioned above under standard driving conditions.
  • Charging Time: The battery generally takes around 4 to 5 hours to fully charge from empty, depending on the charger used and the specific model.
  • Factors Affecting Battery Life:
    • Driving Habits: Aggressive driving, such as frequent acceleration and driving at top speeds, can reduce the overall range.
    • Terrain: Driving on rough or hilly terrain requires more power and can shorten the battery life compared to driving on flat, smooth surfaces.
    • Rider Weight: Heavier riders will reduce the range compared to lighter riders.
    • Temperature: Extreme cold or hot temperatures can affect battery efficiency, potentially lowering the range.
    • Battery Age: Over time, the battery's ability to hold a charge will decrease, gradually reducing the range.

Ninebot Gokart Won't Turn On

If your Ninebot Gokart won’t turn on, there are several potential causes and solutions you can try. Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the issue:

  • Check Battery Charge
    • Ensure Battery is Charged: Verify that the battery is fully charged. Connect the Gokart to the charger and check if the charging indicator lights up. If the battery is completely drained, it might need some time to gain enough charge to power on.
    • Inspect Battery Connections: Make sure the battery is properly connected to the Gokart. Loose or disconnected cables can prevent the Gokart from turning on.
  • Inspect Power Button and Controls
    • Power Button Functionality: Check if the power button is functioning correctly. Sometimes, the button might get stuck or fail to engage. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to see if it responds.
    • Check for Physical Damage: Look for any visible signs of damage to the power button or control panel. If there’s any visible damage, the component may need repair or replacement.
  • Confirm Charger and Charging Port
    • Test the Charger: Ensure that the charger is working correctly. Try using a different charger if available or test your charger with another compatible device.
    • Inspect Charging Port: Check the charging port on the Gokart for any debris or damage. Clean the port gently if necessary, and make sure the charger is securely connected.
  • Perform a Hard Reset
    • Reset the Gokart: If the Gokart still won’t turn on, try performing a hard reset. Disconnect the battery, wait for a few minutes, and then reconnect it. This can sometimes resolve minor electronic glitches.
  • Check for Firmware Issues
    • Firmware Update: If possible, check if there’s a firmware update available through the Ninebot app. Outdated firmware might cause operational issues. Updating to the latest firmware could resolve the problem.
  • Examine Electrical Components
    • Inspect for Loose Wires: Check inside the Gokart for any loose or disconnected wires. If you’re comfortable, open the access panels to inspect internal connections.
    • Check Fuses: If the Gokart has fuses, ensure they are intact. A blown fuse might prevent the Gokart from turning on.
  • Verify Environmental Factors
    • Temperature Extremes: Ensure that the Gokart is not exposed to extreme temperatures, either too hot or too cold, as this can affect its ability to power on.
  • Consult the Manual
    • Refer to User Manual: Consult the user manual for any specific troubleshooting steps related to powering on the Gokart.
  • Contact Support
    • Reach Out to Ninebot Customer Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact Ninebot customer support for professional assistance. There might be a more serious hardware issue that requires expert repair.

If you encounter any error codes

If you encounter any error codes on your GoKart or are unable to complete the tutorial, please follow these steps. (You can identify error codes by counting the long and short beeps. For example, 5 long beeps and 7 short beeps indicate error code 57.)

Start with the steps highlighted in BOLD. If these do not resolve the issue, proceed with ALL the steps in the given order. (Please note that newer versions of the App may have slight differences.)

  •        Power off the Ninebot S (or mini PRO)
  •        If the GoKart does not power off, remove the batteries from the steering column

  •        Keep hair, long clothing, jewelry clear of the wheels
  •        Press the power button on
  •        The wheels will rotate about 1/4 turn in alternating directions
  •        Press the power button off
